Merrick Rod And Gun Club

Founded in 1939 on the South Shore of Long Island The Merrick Rod & Gun Club [MRG] is a social fraternity for fisherman, hunters, or just outdoor sportsmen in general.  As for the Fishing aspect of the MRG, we charter boats from Freeport to Mattituck to Orient Point and of course Montauk. Targeting all species of fish that call Long Island waters home. 

By participating on overnight trips to Eldridge Preserve in the Catskills we can enjoy fresh water fishing, skeet shooting and all the outdoor activities you can muster.  At the end our day their four-star restaurant tops off the evening.

More than you think. 

Being part of a brotherhood like Merrick Rod & Gun [MRG] is no fun unless your family can enjoy the benefits as well.  Along with the fishing and Hunting, MRG has its officer installation Dinner.  Between The fishing and hunting awards given out to our sportsman and our door prizes everyone in attendance seems to go home with more than they bargained for. 

This leads the way into our family fishing trips that usually kicks off in March right through October targeting Flounder, Fluke, Weakfish and not to forget Striped Bass. All our trips are open to family Members and are geared towards the younger anglers.
